<p>Kumamoto Castle is one of three the most imposing castles and one of top 100 cherry blossom viewing spot in Japan. Unfortunately, the castle suffered in the devastating earthquake in 2016, and a few attractions are still under construction now. However, you can see the main keep and 800 cherry trees from Ninomaru Square and Kato Shrine. What’s more, the observatory of the 14th floor of Kumamoto City Hall is open to public, from where you can also admire the whole area of Kumamoto Castle.</p>
