Kumagaya Sakura Tsutsumi has become a household name of cherry blossom viewing spot in Edo era (1603-1868). Light pink sakura and bright yellow canola flowers covering the Arakawa riverbank for 2km form a gorgeous painting with blue sky and white cloud. You can take satisfied pictures without the crowd thanks to the huge area.

Access: Take a train From Tokyo to Kumagaya Station. The river is just a seven-minute walk away from the station. Kumagaya Station is served by the Takasaki, Shonan-Shinjuku, Ueno-Tokyo and Chichibu lines, along with the Joetsu and Hokuriku shinkansen lines.
